Some points on how I write Martha:

• She ultimately does not remain in UNIT, nor does she stay a freelance alien hunter with Mickey. After saving the world through words, not weapons, and since her ultimate goal had always being to take care of people in need, it's difficult for me to imagine her as a soldier forever.
• She is bisexual and attracted to people/species/aliens of any gender. I ship her with basically any canon mate that isn't the Master/Missy. (Love that antagonistic CR tho!)
• Who she "ends up with" depends on the universe. Since RTD refuses to tell me where she is, I play her as currently single, and that her and Mickey didn't work out. She didn't marry him because it's insane to me that RTD wrote Martha as engaged TWICE.
• Martha Jones doesn't belong to RTD anymore sorry she belongs to me.
• She has trauma up the wazoo from the Year That Never Was, and while she doesn't like talking about it, I certainly do!
• I'm a big fan of cross-canon interactions, especially with muses from similar universes. Never be afraid to tag Martha if you're muse isn't from DW. 
• I have not watched Classic Who, but I am up to date with the current series/reboot and I welcome any and all interactions with castmates from any era of the show!
